List of people who are 10th Dan and higher

I would'nt mind playing ranking but finding people is the hard part. A Rank Loss is a Rank Loss. Do it determine how good i am no.I just show that i can lose also. I will serve a good majority of Defenders,Raider,Hunters whoever but i can't get past master so just left it alone. I wasted so much time Beating up on High Ranked opponents when i did'nt know the system that i stunted my own growth on rank levels lol!sure the wins went up but I mean it would have been easier for me to rank up fighting my own class but im too competitive to wait. I remember playing Konjou a Little Minute ago in Rank Matches when he was at Warrior hosting.He was the only one online with a good rank sitting around so i owe it to myself and him to get it popping for atleast he put the rank on the line with what a 7 Dan or some shit at the time (Not really cause it was'nt good do anything win or lose but iw as kinda thinking if i win 1 im gonna jump up huge so thats why i went back 3 in a row before inviting him to a player match.).Them games came down to the Wire and he beat me 3 times straight when we both had little life on every Match point. It was Exhilarating period whether rank was on the line or not. I just wished Rank games came close and plenty rather than Far and Few.

We should set a day and time where we all play ranked match. That way there are several games with good connections and we will all have a good chance of ranking up without worrying so much about pullers.

LOL dude it's so obvious you are 1st Dan because you want to stay at 1st Dan and live up to this WorstPlayer image you started. What ever floats your boat I guess. The many fights I have had with you I would easily put you at 7-9th Dan based on the current level of play on XBL these days. Heck if you quit trying to lose on purpose I am sure you could easily get to master if you try. These days it seems like everyone and anyone can get to master. So stop losing on purpose to up hold this WorstPlayer image. LOL

 

Honestly Konjou, I think he should stay at 1st Dan. If you look through the posts on here he is more proud of his first dan rank than most defenders or masters are of there ranks!!!

No offense taken bro. I do the 1st Dan thing because one day certain someones
got me demoted from like hunter or something all the way down to like 7th Dan.
I just didn't feel like being arsed to go back up. It's not like I can't beat 10 Dans
5 times in a row since I do it at 1st dan already =) I really just don't play enough
to even bother. That and yes, I get a kick out of being 1st Dan and beating on

As far as getting better it's no joke I do. It will help me save money rather than go
buy another game. One things for sure: I'm cheap as fuck. I think it comes from my freelance lifestyle of feast or famine. I'm really in a retarded place right now. I
can beat most of my competition but when I get to a certain level of player I'm
either somewhat on fire or I just get MURDERED. I mean nothing I do is right
murdered.

I'm just not a very gracious loser. I can lose just fine but I absolutely stink at
getting OBLITERATED. Just makes no sense. I know I'm not that adept at a pad but it's more than that I think. I mean I played Mr Yuki whose definately grown a lot
since I played him a millenia ago. I did okay at first but after 6 games I might as
well have let go of my pad and watched the show.

I actually created the ShoutBox Shakedown to hopefully play some of you elite folks
more regularly. I got a few guest appearances but for the most part it more people
that I could beat. (No offense to any shakers)

 

2nd dan!

Just got into ranked again not too long ago, aint played ranked matches since my dreaded 13W 60+L lol, figured i'd play bunch of player matches and get better before jumpin back into dem. Didn't know/think they could be so much fun (cept for laggy ones)

Hey None Other I remember playing ya a few days ago, don't know what happend with that disconnect thing, thought it looked kinda suspect since it happend right after you won that first round like I had disconnected because of that, just wanted to say I didn't, hell, that match was a promotion for me then after that happend my bar went all the way back down, that kinda sucked lol. Just lettin you know I dont get down like that yao ming(now what i mean) by lookin at my old record you can kinda tell I could care less if I lose/ have a bad record. Anyways glad you found me again right after that and joined. Prob coulda posted this in the gg thread but oh well, I saw ur name here and reminded me of that and figured you might see this here.

 

Don't feel bad man. Believe it or not, but even I get destroyed to by some peeps. Sometimes it's not really a thing of they are better than you. It's maybe something along the lines of your style clashes with this particular type of person or style. This is why it is very important to have multiple styles. This goes back to the time when I told you sometimes you should drop the Jeff shuffle during / in between matches. I know it's your trade mark, but believe me when I tell you something so simple is all a person needs to predict how you will move or attack. Ranking mode is the way to play VF unfortunately its not as fun as it should be online. Most players can't seem to get pass Master rank the players that do get passed it don't stay there for very long. The players who are strong enough to get passed it are few and between and the only way for those players to rank up is to play amongst themselves. It gets boring for them when they host a Kyu or Dan comes and when they go out searching for a similar rank they can spend literally hours just looking for someone and chances are its rare to even get 3 matches in. Case in point, I believe players in the USA aren't at the level where they can get pass Master. The hand full of players that are capable of doing it simply can't tolerate Rank mode for reasons such as players dropping out or feeling pressured (Honestly I think they have too much pride to lose getting beat by a random noob on rank)

I'm in the usa, and i'm not good enough to get past master, its terribly sad really.

Any thoughts on what makes non americans more capable of getting past master, Black? I know it can't be that they have superior reflexes as a whole, or at least don't think it can.

Seriously, if you were to (sorry i'm going super general here on you guys) if you were to coach up the american scene on a whole, what building blocks would you start on (or perhaps, what would you have to "unlearn" them to help get them to the next level)?

 

In all honesty I truly believe those that are past master have put in WAY more time
in VF than most of us combined. Not just playing but studying the game etc. When
I was what, Sentinel, I played literally all the time and that made up for my lack of
estudiousness.

 

I agree with TWP, but also agree with a previous post of yours--maybe shoutbox, where you said there has to be something you're missing. Thats the way i feel sometimes..has to be something fundimentally i'm missing, and if i'd only have the epiphany....then i feel guilty for askign for advice b/c i have yet to undertake the study of frame data, and if i'm not doing what i know will make me better, what right do i have to ask for further advice?

 

the real reason is usa players want to be flashy with combos , they dont take time 2 play defense period.... i blame tekken and doa .. News flash u need to play some kinda of defense in vf u dont have to be great but u have to play decent defense.. all the offense in the world wont help u.. about 10% of people online
play defense.dont get me wrong there r those who can play very very good offense and it helps there lack of d but they r very few of those and even they play better d than most. Nicely put but In my case some off you bum ass N!ggas get your little Hunter/Defender rank and run. All of you 10th Dans get a Master rank and run. I've been a Master for about 4 to 5 months and i can't find a 10th dan who'll stay to save my soul.It turned me off from ranked. Do i need Ranked for me to get better hell no!! I hate losing period in any kind of match. Rank match are not the only way to play sorry Denkai. Just playing the game and understanding it is the most vital part along with wanting to improve.The online mode is'nt healthy in this game its pretty anemic. Im quite sure when you were a 10 Dan all the current high ranked players were 10 dans also hosting and you could bounce in a out of a match.

@DabadSeed Maybe in a perfect World we'll be able to breath/sleep and Eat VF5. Japan This Japan That lol!!! As a youngin i feared the Korean's,Chinese and few Japanese kids in Playland and Broadway in manhattan because they used to dominate. Until i started to practice to master the craft to destroy them. It can happen anybody can be beat.
