February 8 Japanese release is official. Training stage pic zakira mentioned. Preorders get the same VF anniversary disc that Evo was released with.

 

8190 yen, DAMN expensive /versus/images/graemlins/crazy.gif not to mention the joystick too (7329 yen) i think I`m gonna starve for a month. damn sega, dont need the anniversary cd i already have it. give me the ost, some cool looking figures and a bloody poster and i`ll be happy to preorder it. well, it`s not like i`m not gonna preorder it anyways /versus/images/graemlins/lol.gif

 

That price plus decent shipping means it will cost almost $100 to import this game.

 

well i`m not really worried about shipping since i live now in japan. but damn that`s a lot of money plus i have to buy HD TV. don`t wanna play VF on a sucky screen.
i think this is the fastest VF frenchise ever been released. and think that`s due to namco releasing T5DR on the PS3. sega wants to get a fast grip on the PS3 fighting market before any company does.

What about if I'm used to Hori Evo stick? Also, regarding High Grade Stick, a Sega developer says it's pretty good as he's used it a little on VF5. But Kam, what other stick have you tried that would match the High Grade (or have you secretly tried the Sega stick) OR is the High Grade actually a HRAP in disguise?

personally, I think the only way to tell is to use them. they change the parts in these things all the time, and I doubt there's any way to really tell what the stick will be like until it's in your hands. For example, everyone creamed over the "real arcade pro"s when they came out, but in the end, many people I know (including myself) didn't like the feel of them so much. I prefered the cheapie version that came w/ the US Tekken5's stick, even though I think after much use it would've given out sooner.

I'm hoping for some kind of adapter, but everyone talked about this happening for the 360, and it never did afaik.

The reason it never happened for the 360 is because Microsoft equipped their console with some sort of "authentication" system that made sure only licensed third party accessories could be used (this in order to rake up the prices on controllers and licenses).

The PS3 has no such lock and Pelican has already announced that a PS2 -> PS3 adapter is coming next month.

They say it ships 12/15/06. I preordered 2 Virtua Stick High Grades before I knew about this adapter. If I don't like them, I'll probably try this adapter on my custom Sanwa sticks.

is this true? can someone confirm this?...'cause i'm about to order the VF5+VSHG combo from play-asia. If the US version is really coming out only 5 days later, i will wait 'cause by the time my shipment arrives anyways, it'll be in stores.

 

Are they going to release the High grade stick with VF5 over here in a bundle, like what Tekken 5 did?

Will this release be region free? I'm hoping for an Asian (Chinese) version, but if everything is regionfree, maybe I can get the English version...

 

TexasLion, are you sure the adapter is what you think it is? Is it not an adapter to plug pads into PC?
