I've been playing roguelikes to kill time while waiting for FS. I only play on xbox so I have to wait another day.

Simple enough game. It's a mix between roguelike and RPG, so a lot of the content is static. You have quests, but it gets repetitive quickly.

What you need to know:
Food clock. You must eat food. Fruits and vegetables last forever, so save them for emergencies. What you usually want to eat is meat, so when a dead monster like a rat or bat leave a corpse behind, walk on it and press C to butcher it.

Walk towards monsters to attack them in melee.
Press V to use ranged attacks.
Press Z to cast spells that you have learned from spellbooks.
Press A to use racial abilities or god-given abilities.
Press P to pray at a god's shrine to gain the god's protection. You can only be under one god, and if you desert one god for another, be ready for punishment.
