The Grudge Thread!

The funniest thing is the one time I played Konjou it was hella
distasteful but it reminded me of the one time I played in NyC
way back in VF4 days. Lots of backdashing/machi play. Bleh made
me want to puke. Back then I tore them a new asshole but it was
like the first week VF4 came out. I guess the style lives on.

That being said it's his style, and frankly imo a style prevalent
in NyC gaming in general and overall effective. Happy Friend on
the other hand is boring as all hell too (not due to machi play
but eh, because of his character) and is too be taken in limited
doses lol.

I just wish I was able/had the desire to play more so I could
give chase.

I know Wolf can be super cheap. This guy was lagging me when he joined my game twice, and I'll proudly admit I pulled on him since he took advantadge of the lag and continously dodge threw me nonstop. I'd try to duck but the freakin delay always got me.

But I play wolf because I like puroresu and I enjoy doing the BUURNING HAMMAAAAAAAAA! and Ogre Slash/Half nelson from Kenta Kobashi's moveset, and Cima's schwein, and Lesnar's F5. Same reason I like Blaze sometimes, even though its hard as hell to get off the KENTA rush, but its easy to follow that up with the busaiku knee kick.

 

hahaha nah man I'm only about 5'10"... well 5'9 3/4" to be exact.

 

Why does everyone complain about NYC style? It's funny because if you look at our styles, none of us actually play alike. We all play at different speeds, we all play within different zones, and we all apply pressure in our own unique way. As for the back dashing, isn't that a move in every characters arsenal? If you choose not to use it then that's your choice.(not you sugarman... everyone as a whole)

 

Well I can only base off of the NyC players I've played,
(and "know" that they are NyC players) and within that group
without getting too specific since that takes well...effort. You
do play alike. But hey whatever puts them into the win column. I
hate machi play but that's only because I lose to it.

I'm actually kind of curious as to how WC VF people play
since I never got a chance to play VF over there. They are
notorious for more offensive play while EC not just NyC are
always turtely. With other popular games I think it's true but I
never got the chance to chill with any VF players while I lived
there.

 

I hate everyone who doesn't constantly attack. Cheap fucking bastards. Especially Ogi, that abare jerk.

Oh, and I hate black people.

 

Konjou, I took your posts as being pointed and coming out of the blue. I didn't feel I had done anything to yank your chain. I don't think people could read your post and say that there was nothing insulting in it.

I am not the guy to suffer insults gladly. And when your lil' fluffer posts, of all things, a photo montage of depraved pwnage, well, the bust-war was on in my mind.

That said, the weight thing was a little mean-spirited.

I also hate other people who play Wolf and people who play any of the following: Jeffry, Shun, Sarah, Kage, Vanessa, Akira, Lau, Jacky, Lion, Blaze, Eileen, Aoi, Pai, Lei Fei, Goh and especially Brad.

I'm fine with Dural though.

 

I'm pretty sure Blahzie was talking about me since I ranked him down to 9th and used him to rank up to Master.

but this is for everyone that is moaning about Wolf

Anyways, about the way I play Wolf. If I find a weakness in my opponents game then I will exploit it until he learns to stop it. Especially in a ranked match

Some of the things I look for are:
1) Do you know how to dodge or when do you dodge the most
2) Do you know how to tech roll or when do you tech roll
3) Can you throw escape low, high, ground or DM throw
4) when do you low punch
5) do you crouch on get up
6) do you fuzzy guard
7) are you the offensive or defensive type
8) when do you throw on advantage
9) do you stand still after a high or low punch attack

There are more, but the bottom line is you have to adjust your game to who you are playing and that goes for any player that you play against.

For any players that don't want to play against me please let me know so I can take you off of my friends list and avoid you entirely.

And another question: Have you seen my record? I've been ranked down by so many players that I don't even remember the last time it happened or who did it. So no, it wasn't directed at you in particular, but it's more than interesting that you thought it was.

First off let me say thank you for the apology. That's very noble of you and only proves me wrong about your character.

In reference to the weight thing though, honestly it didn't bother me one bit. Why? Well it's simple, every human being has flaws. Some are more beautiful than others but may lack something only bless to others who are not considered beautiful. I am a person who has fully come to accept what I am and how I look, so I really don't care to much about what people think of my personal looks, because in the end my character as a person completely out shines those flaws. When I was 2 years old I was in a really bad fire and my entire back, some of my right arm and the right side of my face paid the price. Luckily for me my skin didn't discolor like most people who suffered from 3rd degree burns and I was even luckier that the scars on my face actually faded as the skin stretch during my growth. I have been called crispy chicken, burnt man(in reference to Birdman), etc, etc. The point I am trying to make is I have heard it all in terms of people trying to make fun of me, it didn't bother me then and it won't bother me now. I am what I am and most of all I am glad to be alive.

Again my apologies if you felt things got out of hand and of coarse Flash's post with the ownage pics didn't help. This is the World Wide Web and everyone is behind the Internet Shield so it's natural to expect things like this to happen. We have met in person a couple of times, so I figure you would understand that I was poking fun considering you have never ever seen me be the type of guy who gets off on picking on people.

i dont think any character is cheap, but i do beleive there are plenty of CHEAP players out there. for instance im a noob and it shows greatly! my record as of last night is W 30 L 200 i only rented the game over the weekend to see if i want it, anyway point being is that when i would finaly get the uperhand on a player even a player thats already been cheesin on me in the current fight our previouse ones (and this has happened many times), they magicaly disconnect when im about to win the final round! WTF just take yer damn lose! also people that just do the same friggin move over and over again, hey if its yer opponents weakness fine, but if its the only friggin move you do the entire 3 rounds then that makes you a cheap cheeser! not a person cashing in on a weak spot. But i guess to each his/her own if you like your wins even if theyre acheived in a cheap manner then you somehow enjoy the game on a level most of us will never know nor want to get to know. But I feel its accurate if i say the majority of us like our wins from a skilled, tactiful, strategic, chance taking, with use of MANY DIFFERENT moves, hard fought well earned match.

but then again its just a game, but i still feel that there should be some kind of etiquette amongst us.

As far as the busting goes...I mean you're a skinny dude, but I was totally using hyperbole. If you were a big fat dude, I don't think I would have called you out for it, annoyed though I was b/c it would probably be a sensitive issue and I generally don't mock people for things they can't control. I was too irked to think about it the way I should have I guess.

And Flash, your denial aside, I am pretty sure I saw your name in the credits of one of those weird adult movies with all dudes, er, uh, not that I watch those or anything....and not that there's anything wrong with that.
