I think changing Kage's TFT to a 360 is a bit much... I say change it to [6][4]+[P]+[G], and get rid of his [3]+[P]+[G] alltogether and I'd be happy /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

270 seems a bit harsh though, no?

[6][4] or half circle probably would've done.

Since their going from 1 extreme to the other in 1 update (not a full sequel) it might be a bit over the top (should have been 270/HCF in the beginning).

Really though the TFT is possibly the best throw in the game and when you consider Kage's other strenghts it ought to be on par with the most difficult throws in the game. This just keeps in with the balance of the game I think.

At last somebody at am2 has realised how much this physic breaking, cheap as shit move can dictate a match, I almost fell off my seat to see that TFT has been made harder to do probably wont make the sligtest bit of difference anyway since kage has so many other moves, sabaki, inashi's and throws which give him stupid advantages. /versus/images/graemlins/mad.gif

Fuck. I'd fly back to Tokyo if I had the cash. /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif Too bad the location test is only during Golden Week. That's the most expensive time of the year to fly anywhere in Japan. Hopefully they will have more tests before the official release.

270 command for TFT is certainly gonna make setups for it more difficult. I have problems pulling 270 throws unless it's a guaranteed throw situation, and in those situations any decent player versus Kage will be out of the [4] direction. Well, my question is: are these changes finalized as of yet?

It will take a lot of getting used to for Kage players but the TFT is "THE" most powerful throw in the game (ring out protential, damage and hard to throw escape). Kage is already so powerful by default (few counterable moves, powerful poking 2 choice game and excellent throw options) so making the TFT very hard to do should balance things out a bit.

I definitely believe that the more powerful a move is the harder it should be to do (i.e more risk for more damange). I really wish Jacky didn't have brainless combos like [P]+[K] [4][P] [7][K]+[G].

It's just [P]+[K][P], [7]+[K]+[G], no [4] nneded for the follup [P]. But it's really nothing to complain about - that combo doesn't do a huge chunk of damage or anything (only 54).

Ok I can understand the whole TFT thing but what the fuck is this ''you can choose a move you use through VFnet'' thing about !!?? And only ONE move is optional for each character !! This shit just keeps getting funnier by the minute.

Agreed. It was about time TFT got changed command input; you knew it would happen sooner or later - it's just sad it happens now (but better then in VF5 I guess) as it should've happened back in VF2. The only problem I see is that 3/4's might not "feel" right to do as compared to a [6][3][2][1][4][P]+[G] motion when throwing someone backwards.

The VF.net choose a move sounds weird. I mean; things like Jackys / Wolfs knee and so on was taken out for a reason (balance) and now in Final Tune, which is supposed to balance the game even further - there's an option to bring it back maybe? How much of a Final Tune does that make it as compared to randomness? It's not as it's a fun option; one move is better then the other.

I think AM2 is intelligent enough to make good decisions concerning the verC/evo move select. I think they will try their best to use moves that would be chosen based purely on personal preference/play style. So far it's 1/1 - with Kage both of those moves are valid choices, though Jeff's old [4]+[P] is better than the new one imo. But even that is kinda debateable, as the evo version can be used as a delayed series, some player might actually perfer the new one. I just hope they don't bring back any major BS with this.

as a little note, i'm guessing that goh and brad choose between an evo move and a totally new move?

Good to see we're talking about the most substantial change reported--point no. 2, which move to choose!!

Does the 270 command change really make that much of a difference? This stuff is old hat for Vanessa, Pai, Shun, Aoi, and Wolf players. The command can be easily buffered from crouch dashes, attacks, etc. Seriously, it'll take 2 rounds to get used to.

    a. Kage's 2_3P, the upper from Evo or the long chop from the normal ver.
    b. Jeffry's 4P, the one from Evo or from the normal VF4
    c. Lion's 6K, the one from Evo or the flying knee attack from VF4.
(It seems only one move is optional for each character, and it is whether from Evo or from the normal VF4.)

Browsing the vfbbs page I found a bit more on this:

    Akira's option: [6]+[P]
    Wolf's option: [6]+[K]
    Jacky's option: [6][6]+[K]
    Pai's option: [4]+[P]
Lei's option: [4]+[K]+[G] (this one I'm not sure about...)

The [4]+[K]+[G] is for Sarah I think. Also, there may be something about a damage/MC bounus for hitting ppl out of backdash but don't quote me on it...babel fish is kinda hokey so that's all I could think what the mumbo jumbo meant.

And ppl were talking about doing with Jeff:

[3][3]+[P], [P], [K][K], wall hit, air throw with Jeff
    89 damage

    3. changes in command for some of the moves from Evo.
    e.g. Kage's Koenraku, from 4P+G to 8624P+G (shocking!)

    [/ QUOTE ]

so does that mean inzua drop has changed??? or can you still do it back+P+G, up+P+G. and still take 60points off???

hell i dont mind that TFT changing, hope it floats higher or summing thou!!! make stuff like TFT, knee, helex, knee, flash kick=97points work:)

Vane's option is reputedly DS [3][P], from what I'm picking up on VF4BBS. Why do I get the feeling everyone's going to be using the VF4 version?

I'd be much, much happier if it involved bringing the sabaki elbow back to OS, but c'est la vie.
