Copying from the USB will never work, they are all set to "Read Only".

The only way to copy profiles and bring em to another xbox is with a memory card.

I think the 64mb ones at $30 bucks now.

    o0o questions, ok:

    Myke:
    - Yes you can specify which throw you want the CPU to do, it's under "Guard and counterattack 4 and 5". Represented by the choosing the directional throw you want.
    - No recording feature which is a shame. I feel your pain.
    - Each save file gets recorded as a file in the xbox memory section in dashboard so yes, you can tranfer them via memory card if you wish. As for size, I can't remember and I can't test it since I haven't got a 2nd controller, lol.

    Paifan:
    - I can't remember if you did get anything for losing 100 times.

    FallingEdge:
    - nope, no bingo mode

    Cuz:
    - the fps online is slightly slower, though I was in testing area's and did play against the US and Japan a good few times, it was laggy as expected. Playing locally is just a few frames slower but it should be smoother with faster connections. I have a 4MB connection and played against my friend who also has 4MB and lives about 30 mins away from me. It's playable online.

    Caj:
    - there are 7 orb discs to go through with each having 7 orbs to collect per disc. With each disc you get a special item.
    - I need to see a video or something showing these unlocks. The only diff in this version are the colors of the chests. Again special items from those too.
    - You can tranfer your profile by memory card to another machine. You would need your xbox live profile as well as the game save file itself to do that.

now if you excuse me, I'm gonna go play some quest mode....for the 34th time...

can you hae the opponent do more that one throw here? I mean can you set the throws to random or will the CPU only do the throw you specify?

So they did go with 60 fps, but with slight hicups here and there?

So once the profile is transfered to another machine, it's saved on that machine right? The issue I am worried about is that it will take too much time to switch between memory cards. Sure, it's fine when you are just playing with 1 or 2 other people but if you have a big gathering, it will get annoying to wait for the profile to load.

So if I am reading this correct, we can save our profile to the current machine and just have it read it off of that which will make things easier.

If that makes any sense >_<

You will have to sign off and in through the Xbox guide anyway (press guide, sign out, sign in new player), I doubt it will take much longer to load from the Memory Units. Most games when you sign in a profile it asks you right away if your save file is on the HD or on a MU. Depends how cleverly Sega made the system.
Also, if you keep it on your MUs you have the added advantage at bigger gatherings of using two or more machines AND you don't have to go through the hassle of moving your profiles to the Xbox HD and back onto the MU later.

Word. I'm glad that we get the option to load our own profiles, I just don't want the "flow" of the gathering to slow down because we have to constantly wait for people to upload their profiles.

    Thanks for the info.

Who are you trying to kid. You would have never bought a 360 for any game, including VF5. That part has been clear for months. You really need to stop the fanboy trolling.

Dude, so strict. This has to be the weirdest post I have read in a while. I mean, I can see not buying the XBox just for VF5, but having the record feature be the deciding factor...Bizarre.

Its not bizarre if you play fighting games like VF and Tekken HARDCORE/Seriously .. I cant tell you how important and resourceful a record action feature is in fighting games. I learned a ton of set ups and counters for certain situations in VF4 evo because of a so called simple feature like Record. I am sure if you played more than on a casual level you would understand. Actually I would buy a 360 if this was the FINAL version of VF5 buts I am certain its not so why waste money. I dont get into the system war thing I am not some teenager I am sorry if my post come off like that or offends noobs/kids. I bought a ps3 for the games like Tekken 5 DR, VF5 and thats really it.
My purchase is justified. I just would not see myself running to buy a 360 for VF when I know its not even the final version and its more likely the final version will be on ps3.

This console shit is somethin else man I dont care . to each his own. I am just stating my take on things.

I want VF to spread just like the next man but the truth is most of the hardcore VFers bought ps3's for VF5 and there is really no reason for anyone to jump ship to get a 360 when all you will find is DOA scrubs online and giving up or not eveing buying the game. I hope it sells well because whatever console the final version of VF5 ends up on thats what I will have or get.

    I live fighting games

I've been foaming out the mouth in the Shout Box over the idea.

Maybe it is because I want to post as much info as possible up here, and without a record function... what info can you get? The only way to get that info is to go to a VF meet and tie up a setup, which is a fucking dickish thing to do.

Record feature >>>>>>>>> All items + 4 costumes + online + better A.I. + and any other bell-and-whistle Sega can tack onto the game

dude, so youre saying you need training wheels to get better at this game? how did people in the arcade got better then?? theres no training mode in the arcades....you mean to tell me you cant get better without this ONE less feature?. i mean please tell me another excuse like "no money", "not enought time", "i dont really like vf THAT much", all these are valid, but cause of no record option?!?! CUM-fucking-oooon! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

if we keep thinking like this might as well be waiting for VF6!

well enjoy the waiting time, you are defenetly more patient than I am (i waited for the xbox, didnt get the ps3 version).

anyway, not an attack on you im just saying its kinda stupid thast's all /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

My friend, you have to ask yourself do we even have VF in the arcades here? Also does USA even have the comp level japan dose at any give day, NO we dont. The record feature owns all options in VF, its the feature that can make your game 10x better if practice right. Now like I said if we had japan style comp or even American Tekken style comp in my area, i would just play at the cade a lot until my exp points kicked in but because we are not all so fortunate to have all the VF comp we want a RECORD feature is heaven sent.

On another note I am patient but I love VF, which is why I bought a ps3 as soon as I heard about vf5 and tekken coming out.

Like I said to each his own but a fighter like VF5 on console without a practice mode would suck learning curve wise and even without a simple feature like RECORD mode this long waited release seems a little disappointing in my book.

Games like halo and wow are killing the real competitive games like VF and Tekken and just fighting games in general. Which is why USA is so far behind japan when it comes to real games.

    Its all about the Hardcore

If you were 'HARDCORE/Serious' you would clean car windshields for the 360 version. Glitz and glam of items and appearance, online mode and other extras aside, the game is now different. It is version C. You can wait for a possible update for PS3, you can wait for a possible upgraded version. But that doesn't sound very hardcore.

So since you claim to be all competitive and high level with VF... Who is it you play with? How often do you travel to play? Who are you exactly? It's fine to claim you need the record function to better your game, or that at a high level you really would appreciate it, but don't assume others here are casual players, or act like casual players know less/deserve less.

And havn't we had a situation similar to this? Where you ended up apologizing in the end for just bashing the 360 and what not? I read in this post you're not about the console wars, but jee golly gosh roger, I sure remember you spewing all sorts of slandar a bit back over this issue.

EDIT: MMOs and Halo arn't the reason fighters are slacking in the States either, sorry. Japan has its fair share of MMO addicts and non-fighting game haijins. Preference and choice have very little or nothing to do with why the fighting game demographics and skill differ.

RagingSilver, thanks again for your answers.

If you don't mind, I have a couple more questions related to the interface.

    1. When you load the game for the first time, do you still have to press OK 5 billion times just to get to the main title like you do on the PS3? I'm guessing since there's no HD load option, 2 of those 5 billion OKs are taken out.

    2. Navigating the Training menus is a right pain in the ass on the PS3, especially when you're forced to select "End adjustment" in order to go out a menu. Can you instead use the default "cancel" (or go back) button on your controller to do this like you could on PS2 Evo? This was the circle button for EU PS3 (and the X button for JP PS3).

I really fucking hate the unfriendly interface on PS3! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/mad.gif

My TRC tester laughed when he first saw the "start up process". He has no idea how that passed Sony submission. Or how desperate Sony was to have the game on the PS3 is probably more likely.
