Actually what are those two white buttons for?

Someone posted about that saying the preferred korean button alignment for vf is horizontal...I would imagine as well that hori has no problem making the stick playable for other software.

  6. Hey Catch22,

What kind of Playstation controller PCB did you use to fit in that black case with the 15-pin connection? I'm thinking you got like a Playstation arcade stick pcb or you snap a regualr pad pcb and solder the ends, which is really hard. Any advice on what I should use. I want to work on it this weekend. Please let me know. Thanks.

yeah if you want to use a PSX PCB, just look for the cheap interACT controllers, they run about 5 bucks at my local Best Buy. I don't think the official controller works, but any 3rd party crap should

  8. Thanks for the reply, but I was hoping to find out if I can get a PCB small enough to fit into the black box in the picture below. Does anyone have any idea where I can find a PCB small enough to fit in the black box or if I can find an easy way to modify one? Thanks. [IMG]

That box was made by me. It's cut, but it's very hard to pull off if you don't have the proper tools; ie: flux.

Dude, I don't think it'll make a huge difference if your box is a little bigger than catch's. Just find a box that's big enough to fit a standard PCB board in and use it instead...probably save you a lot of trouble.

exactly. the only difference is in size, if you care about that kind of thing. Otherwise, it'll save you about 10 minutes of work.

  12. Yeah, I understand, but I wouldn't mind spending the extra time to have a cleaner looking box. Then the old VHS box approach.

  13. Thanks for the help, boy man, you spend a good amount of time on this project and I admire the workmanship /versus/images/icons/smile.gif

Nice Catch. Did you make the casing yourself again or buy it from somewhere?

  20. I recently just finished this one. I used a MAS style box with Western stick and buttons on a Japanese layout. Thanks for the help to everyone on this forum.
