version C changes to eileen

-PP6P is no longer a true combo on normal hit.
This is a huge change for Eileen, and definitely something that weakens her quite a bit.

-236P+KK now floats on counter hit.
This is an amazing change for Eileen. This allows her much more options overall when flipping. Looks like this change more than makes up for the PP6P change, since you can flip after PP makes contact.

 

evo east...

this was my very first major tournament, so i didnt know what to expect.

iight so check it. the bracket contained 21 TOTAL PLAYERS! which was more than i thought...

friday, prelims...

my first fight was against "pushku" from boston. he used lion and immediately sent me to losers. he beat me 2-0. bummer! this guy is very good, im surprised he didnt make it to finals. he damn near broke all my throws! not to mention i was feeling nauseous from nervousness! fuckin lion...s'all i gotta say.

my first fight in losers was against "nki", but he was a no show so he claimed forfeit. my second fight in losers was against "mike", and yet again a no show...ANOTHER forfeit. by this time i was getting pissed off, cuz no game time. BUT at the same time, i managed to get into top 8 by only playing ONCE and LOSING! this means i am automatically in the the winners semi-finals at evo world in vegas. it was ridiculous...

sunday finals...

my first fight was against "hyun" from boston. he picked jeffrey. i sent him to the wall for 98 pts of damage =) the crowd went nuts. keep in mind, all the vf matches were on the projector. it was a GREAT match, but i beat him 2-1 and so i advanced. this is the same guy who beat me with jeffrey the day before at the new hampshire tournament. so to say the least, it was very satisfying...

my second fight was against my very good friend "akira_zero." he picked kage. by this time, the crowd seemed have a crush on wolf. surprisingly, i was able to pull off the pedigree after fully charging P+K. zero knows to break this grab when he sees it, but im not quite sure what happened there. i heard the crowd repeatedly scream out "OH SHIT! PEDIGREE!" zero beat me on our second match, which made me to start feeling nervous, but i was able to beat him on our last match, and so i advance...

my third fight was against "kenny" from boston. he picked lion. mentally, i already know what lion is capable of. however, due to different styles of play, i was still a little uneasy. i basically smoked him on our first match, but after realizing my way with wolf, he switched his offense and was able to eliminate me out of the tournament. by the time i realized he changed his offense, it was too late. however, on one of the rounds, i was able to connect half circle forward P+G (max input) after a crumple...where wolf says, "YEAH~!!!" the crowd yet again went berserk, on their feet. kenny beat me 2-1...

so results are as follows:

1st place - denkai
2nd place - konjou akira
3rd place - kenny (aka ironzen)
4th place - flash

and the moral of this whole thing is...

i need more practice because at EVO WORLD....

"SOMEBODY GONNA GETTA HURT REEEEAAALLL BAD!.....SOMEBODY..."

 

oh and for the next lion player...

Alright flash drop me a line when you guys get to together again. I really need the practice playing against the AI everyday is nothing like a human opponent. And for anyone that goes to EVO always remember to check your buttons first. My first match at evo I stared playing and it took me to loose my first match to realize the my kick button had been reassigned by the previous player which ened up costing me the entire game. Go figure. Oh and congrats on your finals appearance FLASH.
