Virtua Fighter 6

Well, under my PSN name of lastmonk I have thousands of online matches. for VF4 over 10,000 matches, for VF4 EVO over 10,000 matches for VF5 8,500 matches. And that's not really counting single player against the CPU

I am not a Fan of VF5US you're right about that I can't stomach the Tekken contamination

Well, I have noticed of late a lot of true VF fans kissing the ring of Tekken , bending the knee to Hit Sparks, meters and comeback mechanics as well as sucking the pipe of DLC and in-game-purchases all out of FOMO

Anyone know if they're going to use the roll back netcode for VF6?

 

They almost certainly will. Seiji Aoki stated in an interview that rollback netcode will be absolutely necessary for VF to continue.

 

A new VF has been confirmed to be in development..I don't have the link on me. Check My Nintendo News It makes me happy we have official confirmation now.

 

The wait for 6 continues. We will get at least one more version of 5 lol

 

Hmm, Virtua Fighter 6 needs a really good "Quest Mode"
Same with the recent STEAM release of 'Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O'.
Earning custom costume parts is one of my favorite parts of that mode.

 

I find it ironic that you keep bitching about VF's new similarities to Tekken, when your character is the most Tekken-esque character in the game. 1P+K is the biggest Tekken launcher I've ever seen. Lei Fei players can just mash buttons and get flashy moves to come out. That's Tekken 101.

This is actually a good question. I do hope that they give us news about the game pretty soon. I need to feel hyped again

Agreed. I want to know if my main, Sarah is actually in the game. I'll admit when Stella was revealed, my heart sank a bit.

 

I want a rainy dramatic stage (maybe at night too) and a forest + river stage.

The new VF needs at least 5-6 new characters, and mostly the heavy boxing one with gloves.

Hoping SEGA puts the very hard work to have the most and the best things possible.

 

I hope they add back wet appearance from original VF 5. My guess they will plus add dirt like in doa5. If there's a rainy stage, it be cool if the fighters already appeared soak during their intros before the fight.

 

I can't wait for the first long trailers that show some good gameplay and the quality of the music. And can't wait to see how improved and modernized are other VF characters.

I came across this video on YouTube where this content creator claims to have found a rumor/leak for the characters in VF6. Claims there are 12 new characters, might be replacing some of the characters. (I e. Sarah/Stella) And there will be multiple seasons passes with more characters returning that were cut at first. Hold on let me look for the video

I'm loving the potential collab with DOA, that would be cool. I personally would like Hitomi. Kenshiro would be cool but I don't know how I feel about anime characters for the realism aspect the game is going for. But if they want to be wacky then go for it, seems like nowadays that's the trend..(ex. CoTW w/DJ Dude and Soccer man) I do love the pick for Yakuza, Tatsuya Ukyo. Its giving the acknowledgement back to the Yakuza franchise without having to put in Kiryu as he would be... too expected, if that makes sense and also for the fact that they'll like to keep up his gimmick on not hitting women, which is respectable to his character. ALSO potentially leaving room for Virtua Fighter to be in the same universe Yakuza with maybe a story mode (hinting from the trailer & scenary).

New characters are expected but was kinda hoping for no replacements. ngl chances are we getting Sarah AND a confirmed 'Stella' is looking kinda slim But she basically is Sarah so I'm not that bummed out. If this is a reboot, replacing characters seems inevitable.

Here's my gripe, no SPs (if that's meant to be 'Season Passes') seems like a let down to me. It's still taking identity of previous VFs, which means they'll be another VF6 version, not a fan of this idea Just keep updating the same one, makes it less confusing this way.

But this is all just speculation and rumors at the end of the day. It's still good to hear something about the game.
