    This isn't true. I think it just REALLY differs from connection to connection. Honestly, most of my matches against Japanese players are probably even better connection than my matches with you Krs (ok, maybe similar). I can fuzzy whenever I want, block lows on reaction, etc. I don't know, but Comcast has always been really good to me. It COULD also be because I'm in CA and that is closer to Japan than the east coast? I stand by only ever having one match that was laggy with the Japanese out of over 20-30.

    It's good that you said this, and it wasn't arrogant or rude. This shit needed to be said, for real.

    Japan has faster connection speeds than the US. The average connection there is more than twice as fast...

    I'm with DubC on this one too. Japanese players always, always give gray boxes, and I'm certainly not asserting the matches are completely lag free. But, they definitely aren't noticeably worse than lots of US players I've faced where I can get 2 green bars or w/e on the connection icon.

    I think it's mostly the ping speed. Not much information to send back and forth. Just what inputs the other guy pressed, the game probably figures out everything else internally. What else would it need to know? If he hits punch all your xbox needs to know is that he did and it will make the punch animation come out. I don't think there's much information needed, more how fast can that small amount of info get there.

    The connection and your ability to tweak your router helps.

    I'm using the D-Link DL-4300 GAMING router... I suggest you who complain ascertain 2 things first.

    The reliability of your internet connection (constant, fast, unfluctuating, etc.)
    Then your hardware. (Your modem, is it top-notch or bottom of the sewage? Router? built for gaming? probably not)

    It's expensive but well worth it for gaming purposes. Long live D-Link!

    And I have yet to fight some of you people who go idle in my buddy list then I do a game invite and no response for 5-15 mins! ;_;
