hideo was in shinzeki!?.. the first time i had ever seen his physical appearance was in the POPY tournament, and man, he did'nt have dreds there /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif mabye i'll check shinzeki again. Other than that, i don't recall the guy u mentioned.

i don't think i saw every match of that event, i sure as hell saw gorilla pwn tho /versus/images/graemlins/cool.gif

EDIT: but yeah, the brad you guyz saw me play last saturday was inspired by gorilla's too ^_^ dunno why, i just like the wolf & brad combination.

P.S also, i think ryan has bumped into anii when he was in japan a while back - it was in an e-mail which was posted on VFDC, mabye u can ask him about it.. /versus/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

He' s the guy with the baggy trousers, his dreads are covered up though, but you can tell, on the dvd you see him better not so much on Live stream I think. Just look out for the 'All cast evolution' tag.

I love the way Joe plays Lei Fei. HanaReBi (sp?) is also awesome. Heruru is very inspiring too. I agree that even when he loses he's still a lot of fun to watch.

I don't know other characters very well but Yoro and Kyasao are amazing to say the least.

D'oh a few more that slipped my mind:

Homestay Akira (just love that replay on him Vs Blackwidow(Sarah) on the evo disc...so enjoyable to watch), Joe and HanaBiRei as Lei Fei players, The Guerilla (Aoi) and of course I'd have to say Netroms Akira and Raiders Kage, always very enjoyable replays guys!

Yeah definately ...the techniques he gets in within just five rounds as Akira continue to amaze me especially that mid reversal into the wall and his variation in offence /versus/images/graemlins/cool.gif.

I know this is an old thread, but if it wasn't for seeing Kyasao on Gamesmaster back on VF3 in 96, I wouldn't be playing VF know and yes, I'm still addicted to Kage as I was back then! Namoo! (Actually, thinking about it, I should still have that recorded on tape somewhere... /versus/images/graemlins/smirk.gif)

I remember watching that show...when he took on something like 100 UK players at VF3 and beat every last one as the show progressed, he didn't loose a single match and only dropped a few rounds in total. Incredible.

As I recall he was using Kage.

  14. For me, it's gotta be BunbunMaru. I just watched most matches that were on the Evo disk and I'm convinced that this guy is God's Gift to Wolf Hawkfield (GGWH). Everything flows together so good, and every single move that Wolf has, he does. Even the [6][6][P]+[G] maneuver!

    My inspiration was Dragon gigi.
He opened my eyes to all the possibilities with shun back when
there weren't many players for me to learn from. One tactics
video from konjou changed everything. Dragon demonstrated the most
effective way to fight and drink at the same time, how the clock was
shuns best friend, how to bait your opponent with drinks when they
have the lead, a trial and error section, combos and move placement.

His style was very streamlined and deciplined.
My style was very creative and instinctual.

Combined them both and ghetto-SHUN was born. /versus/images/graemlins/ooo.gif/versus/images/graemlins/ooo.gif
    That is all.

Nelson, you must be on some virtua high. Fuck you. /versus/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

But yeah, I'm planning on going up there sometime with Shang before Kyasao and Homestay start rolling the condoms down on their enormous VF cocks in preparation of the sodomy that will be taking place in Riverhead. (phew)

Take it easy and keep at the ferocious game you've got going right now.

I will give my ppls and my reasons:

Heruru: fuck the dance, what he did at KS2 up till the last match makes me happy to this day. Plus playing IRL, he's a tricky fuck to peg, want more of him right now.

Shinz: when Ver. C was out, he released combo vids that helped me quite a bit here or there (though I had discovered suprising number of them myself). Plus I hear he's a nice guy, not too big headed so ( '')b

Hanabi Lei: His throw games are SICK. Watch him on the Evo DVD and u will know what I mean. Very nice to watch, and very good mind games in general.

    last but not least
Yamagishi: I honestly don't give a fuck if he can play a lick, when I watched the EVO2k3 DVD, I was laughing harder then I believe anyone has ever laughed, ever. He's the man.

    Hmmm lets see...

Ohsu - Because he has a bigger afro than I do /versus/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Arashi - Because his Goh is revolutionary

Haijin - His Jacky is just too good. And who else would wear shorts to a tourney? (KS2) /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
